I drove a 2015 S60 turbo a while ago. It was a rocket. Cost a bit more than $7k though.

I have driven 3 Mondeos as company cars. Block was sound just everything bolted to it was crap. Had so many water problems. Blew the tranny on one coming out of the Riverhead forest after a NZDS shoot.
Mrs wanted another car end of last year and wanted a Atenza. Just another Mondeo so no chance of that. I wanted to get a Audi A3 but she said no as repair costs as bad as Tommy said. Same went for the Volvo A40 and Subis.
Ended up with an 06 Toyota Caldina with 76k on the clock just over $9000. Only 1800cc but goes well at 8.5l/100km
My wife had a VW Golf for 7 yrs did 50 k and apart from shitting a valve in the gearbox the day I bought it with 17 k on it, which the car sales replaced, about $4k, I think I spent about a grand on it over those 50 KS, thermostats on the cooling system shit themselves, so I couldn't complain
Boom, cough,cough,cough
5 grand of repair bills in 70k is way too much, we have a daihatsu and after 100k it needed 4 tyres, thats it.
this sums up your volvo and mongayo god did a shit and volvo or mongayo take your pick made it move i would suggest you buy yourself a copy of the dog and lemon guide ive always been a toyota guy after i was a ford guy way back when they built proper ones i got 600000ks out of my last corolla and it was still going ok when i sold it also if its a europenis shitter and its got low ks on it its because its spent most of its time in workshops
