    The minis are entertaining. The 5 speed manuals are lemons, google 'midlands' 5speed. The 6 speeds are a Getrag unit and are solid. They do a pile of weird other shit too tho. Mates girlfriend had her radiator replaced under recall (wtf) and less than two years later has split both tanks. I honestly think euros are only made to last 7 years and then implode in every way possible

    So for those who followed and made helpful suggestions, thanks.

    I have purchased for my wife the mentioned 2005 Toyota Camry, NZ new, with 107Kms on it.
    It was a little more expensive than I originally wanted to spend on a second car, so had to dip into the account I call the gun fund and she calls the saving.
    However if I act quickly before the novelty of her having a new car has worn off, I suspect I'll be able to get pretty much any long cardboard box into the house without to much bother.

    Good choice the money spent bying the car will be saved on lack of repairs just service it regularly and it will just keep going
