Hiluxes may not be what they used to be but at least their owners in general can park the bloody thing /stay in their lane/maintain a constant speed/pull over if holding up traffic.
Rangers are like arseholes up here, Every tryhard seems to have one for towing their jet ski, Amaroks are like the wank wagon ranger drivers on steriods, normally seen matt black with head light covers driven by fucktards with mini goatees and pointy shoes. If you see one down your way odds are some fuckwit couldn't find Queenstown.

Think you are the winner there.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

Yeah I remember that ad. Was in all the mags & no one battered an eye lid But I stand by my statement in the 80's - 90's Toyota was king - Corolla GT, Celica, Supra & Hilux. Then they went all soft & then other companies like Sube ( talking cars here ) took over, Go the wrx or Legacy GT, farken chur chur.

Don't forget the KE30 Corolla! My first hunting wagon.

I think the Hilux lost it's cool when "stupid cool" resale prices and parts costs became well un-cool. People started buying Nissan and Isuzu trucks instead... Some less fortunates brought Rangers

Hilariously, I've been in an Amarok only once - went to Queenstown in it.

Also hilariously: on the trip back to Christchurch it got better fuel economy than my hilux on the open road. While towing three tonnes worth of car transporter and old boxy pajero.
