I got around it years ago when I had a wrecked one we were rebuilding and a separate healthy body. One of the bodies was of a pre-airbag one so we just moved the vin plates over (they didn't have any markings on the chassis).

1300 isn’t cheap, but it bolts straight on, fits nicely, has a winch mount, and is compliant.
Fair enough, it's still 800 more than I want to pay, happy to fit it myself not worried about compliance as it's non airbag, too easy☺
