    Wireless winch remote

So I went out with the truck last weekend and discovered a problem... Need one hand to steady the ground anchor and the other for the winch remote, means I can only winch the length of the remote wire.

Question is has anyone wired in their own wireless remote? Got a 9500lb terrain tamer, currently has the 3pin plug wondering if I can order one off aliexpress and wire it in.

The winch on my quad came with a wireless remote.

So there must be plenty around.

Was up lake Daniels and a guy was using one on his prado, would come in bloody handy. Had to get a mate to hold ground anchor in place which I used remote from inside truck. If I was on my own it could have been a bit of s problem

The remote kit just wires into the relay .

It was pretty simple to fit.

Let me know which one you go for and how much dramas it ends up being wiring it up. I'd quite like to do this on my wee Warn on the zuki....
I'm assuming that you can wire it in parallel with the cabled remote so have the option of both.

Ok so I finally got round to this job..... Got a cheap one off trade me wired it up and all it does is go click!!

A mate has a trail Maxx that he likes so emailed them, they can't say it will work with my terrain tamer winch. Tried the guys that installed the winch, they don't have anything and thought terrain tamer has stopped doing winch parts.

Anyone else got a terrain tamer winch and can tell me a brand of remote that works?

Most winches are generic when it comes to the pendant control and the remote unit should be the same. Sounds like the solenoid is engaging but not the motor relay, best check your earth connection.

That's what I thought, - + and the 2 control wires, used the earth that the plug in controller used and then the winch bar with the same result. Will try running another wire direct off the battery and see if it improves. The 'instruction manual' (for what it is worth) had the same answer of a bad earth
