    @vtkomene Look for a Lifan or Shineray 125 or 150 vertical engine. They’re close to a drop in replacement on an XR and the price point should be sub $1k I would think. I saw a blog an NZ guy did shoehorning a Lifan 200 into a ‘99 XR100.
    10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
