Haha. Sounds like me... I spent hours cleaning mine up, pulling out rusty screws/bolts and assembling everything with lube etc. I have a winch waiting patiently on the garage floor for me to have time to fit it. I don't want the winch down low as I spend a bit of time in and out of water. It won't last 5 min if I use the standard mounts so I need to make some new plates up.
I also made up a tube frame for shooting off the rear deck - works very well. Very comfortable. It's surprising how stable they are to shoot off.

As a bit of a post script to this I had a couple of the seatbelts play up, wouldn't release when retracted, last week.
So I contacted the dealer I bought it from and voiced my frustration with this, They have just emailed to say they are going to replace all 4,
Really Good service and easy to deal with, Langlands Honda in Masterton.
I also now have a winch lying on the floor waiting for its mount to arrive.
Cheers

I like the folding windscreen with a bit of one of those flotation noodles it would make a good shooting rest.

Yeah that was the intention
Also got lucky and found a guy whose 8×5 trailers are 1530mm as standard for the internal width measurement.
And Kiwi built for a bloody good price.

After doing a fair bit of research, I chose the Yammie Wolverine X2 R-Spec. The size was right and the trannie by all accounts is right up there for reliability. The 875 V-twin is quite adequate. After a year of use including towing decent trailers and deer use on somewhat gnarly stuff, I'm very happy with it. I keep one of those foam noodles in the cab to shoot over the half screen if necessary. We built a nice twin gun rack behind the cab, ideal for hunting rifles and it looks like a factory option with the matching matte black crackle powdercoating.
It also has some accessories I made for LR varminting. There's a detachable tray roof held on by cam-over latches. I have rest bags tethered up there and it works very well. There are two pneumatic stools that are removable from their bedded sockets. The rear shelf behind the seats has two padded gun racks. I can remove all of this back to a std machine in prob 15mins so no biggie. I was pleasantly surprised how stable it is to shoot off parked in a decent wind with two of us on it.
