    Gundog clubs??

Been thinking about joining a club of some sort to help me learn better training techniques and develop the dog as well.
Don't really want to do a half arsed job with the pup when I get her. I want to do the best I can for both her and me.

What sort of gundog/retrieving clubs are out there?
    What do you guys recommend?

I'm pretty sure there isn't a gun dog club as such , most are breed specific as in gsp or lab etc. Mostly dominated by dog breeders and with showing in mind ,field trails clubs which I known nothing about may be the go, but then you also get the separation between pointer and retrieve I believe. Would be keen to know if you do find somewhere in Canterbury thats what your looking for , good luck

Sports Hub - I'm sure you'll find something amongst this list.

Some of the best dog handlers in the country are in your neck of the woods... Peter O'Neil with spaniels, Graham Palmer with Labs... all are involved in gundog clubs down there... Get hold of Graham through his website Home he'll see you right.
