    Irish water spaniels any good..? Its been wet up here of late
    Wife wants a spaniel for a pet... i would like an indicating dog

    Last one I saw... about 20 years ago was a bloody cracker... doubt there's much working blood aroung, but then again, and I'm only guessing, as a minority breed I doubt the show shockers have screwed them over too much.

    Britany spaniel may be worth a look, they point ! . Don't no how good they are on big game ? . I've only seen one water spaniel and it was as mad as a snake , mind you so was it's owner ! , and it was real smelly , you could not have it inside .

    No, never saw it run though it was GFTCH I believe...

    The one i saw came from Nelson but the fella went all over the country trialling it. i really liked it.

    Chris Short used his brittany's on deer and they did well, most of that blood is long gone now though... the driving force in the whole line was his Bitch "Lace" and she is well diluted... but they do work deer well if well handled.

    And they're lady killers beautiful dogs.
