    any upcoming events CNI, waikato?

Hey all, iv never entered into any local hunting events or comps but wouldn't mind having a crack and dragging our son along to one with his own catch and meeting some others. im in south Waikato, does anyone know of anything coming up? I presume not much with covid.

There is a shoot in Taupo early November . Organised by the nzda and I believe opened to anyone ( not sure if it is opened for young ones though)

    Hunting competition events?
    Or shooting competition events?
@Friwi - The Taupo NZDA Prize shoot on the first Saturday in November is open to all including junior shooters.

Here's the link to the Taupo shoot.

There are actually two events, shot at the same time. You can enter in both.
Graded prize shoot - all target equipment including special jacket, sling & glove allowed, few limits on rifle, scope etc. OK to use any hunting rifle too, even a 22LR if you want.
Big Balls shoot - Hunting rifles > .243Win and has max weight limits plus a few others. This is for hunters.

It is at 100m, on a formal range and you shoot prone, sitting, kneeling and standing. No bipods or rests.
