Bah ! My 30-06 cleaned a couple of years ago and my 6.5*55 last year. Might blow the cobwebs off the -06 again this time for a change. Sorted the extra deer targets this morning so she's all go :)

Be good to meet a few other forum members there, should be a good day!
Chur; and the club range is open coming saturday if ya'll want to have a practice run prior to Sunday 7th.
Hey Woody
Keen to come have a practice shoot on Saturday.
What’s the deal there? Just turn up to the address on the competition ad? Time? Fee for a practice shot?
Got a new Browning Hellfire 22 mag last week that needs zeroing and keen to give the 25-06 a test at the range and come along to the comp with it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Range fee for a normal day is $20.
On Saturday 6th March shooting will be at 300, 500 and 600 yds. So long as you already have a reasonable known 100 yd zero, we can get you on paper pretty quickly.
If you are there by 9:30 should be all sweet.
@JayV. Yep just turn up with yr 25-06. Be quite casual this saturday with easy going bunch. If yr rifle is not zeroed there is a zeroing range available to sort it. Cheers.
Thanks for the replies guys. Will have to come down and check it out. Might need a flasher HP rifle. Everything I shoot is under 100 and the deer I got last week was at about 15! Thing nearly walked into me. Anyway will be good to see what my rifle is like at a longer distance. Thanks for the info.
there some where i can zero my rifle ? could be keen for the trip down
Hi Dynastar27
We have a 100yrd range to zero your rifle, you just need to bring your own target for it .It might pay to get there a little earlier so you can get your rifle zeroed before we get started
Cheers Ivan
Awesome been a long time since i pulled the .270 out of the safe
Are long range noobs welcome? never shot past 200m really
Yep noobs are welcome. We were /are all noobs. We like noobs but not nobs 😁
Went down and had a practice yesterday. Very hospitable club. They took the time to sort my gun, had an impromptu coaching session and even let me have a shot with one of their competition rifles. Learned a lot and had a great day. Really surprised how accurate a $650 second hand gun could be at 600 yards with the right coaching. Thanks heaps Te Puke rifle club. Would say a special shout out to the awesome bloke who did it all but I have forgotten your name, so sorry. You know who you are though.
I did'nt make it yesterday due to some other stuff I had to do but am sure looking forward to next Sundays open event. Glad you had a good experience there @JayV.
Just a reminder our Bring it and Shoot event is on this Sunday 7th March so come along and have a crack at shooting your hunting rifle out to 600 yards,
Full details further back in this thread.
This is a fun relaxed event that everyone enjoys
BBQ and bevies afterwards ,see you there!
