    GET Ready its almost time

Its almost time for the annual Te Puke long range hunter shoot, If you've been before you know what a great day out it is!
If you havent been its a great way to find some zeros on your rifle for 300 500 and 600 yards.

Date will be the first Sunday in March so mark your calender. 03/03/24

Price hasnt changed!! now thats pretty rare!
Entry fee is $40 for the day. TWO sighters and 5 shots for score, at each distance. You can convert the sighters to scoring shots if you are happy with the value.
So thats 21 shots for the day, theres always time for more shooting at the end if you are keen. If you have a 100 yard zero we can get you on paper.
There is a strong likelyhood we will have to limit the number of shooters this year, I will post up a flyer when its done.

Ok DUH!! I forgot its shot twice at 600 yds so that brings the round count up to 28 minimum. Any questions let me know.

This is a bit of an introduction to range shooting, and we try to keep it safe but friendly. If you know how to speak MOA or MIL or even if you dont, so long as your scope dials ok or you know how to hold over everything is easy peasy. We use electronic targets so from a tablet we can read what happened at the target.
The screen is divided into MOA grids. Which helps with wind and elevation calls.

Below is a screen shot of someones target. It gives velocity at the target, group size and stuff like that.

Here's another showing different groups with the same elevation.

Just a reminder for SUNDAY !
weather is looking good but we have gazebos handy to keep your gear dry if needed.
You are allowed to shoot from your normal hunting rest whether it's a bipod or pack.

Great day, thoroughly enjoyed it. There's a great vibe out there, if you've been thinking of visiting as I had been, just do it. It's all in yards and I'm in meters and mils but there was someone there to help me through it. I learnt so much in just one day. Thanks team!

I couldn’t agree more. Well worth a visit. Really friendly team.

Shooting wise, a massive fail on my part, entirely self induced, but I’ll be back.
