Does it have to be a 100 yard zero?

What are the shooting positions? Offhand, prone, bipod, etc?
I know a lot but it seems less every day...

No, if you already have a 300 yd zero you are good to go. It's just that some people don't actually know what distance their rifle is zeroed for (think Bush stalker) so it gets tricky to get them on target quickly.

Shooting will be from prone, back pack, bipod, rain coat just as you would be using out in the field.

This is on this weekend, I just wanted to add that there will be chronographs and bore scopes available. Plus you get to actually validate your load drops (DOPE) at known distance.

Hunters! Bear in mind that NRA Clubs such as Te Puke are some of the strongest advocates for responsible firearms ownership and the shooting and hunting sports.
Your support of a clubs "open day" hosting hunters is important to help maintain these clubs viability and to provide more cohesion amongst hunters interests, especially in these times.
If you are ambivalent about attending then please consider the points above.
This day is not a competition and while thete is a table of donated prizes, these are drawn randomly.
Other real benifits are seeing other like minded people and their equipment as well as testing your rifles ballistics at varying ranges.
    There are many positives.
    See you there

Sorted my plans for this weekend. I'll just have to make sure my hunt on Saturday arvo doesn't go too late. I'll see a few of ya there. I'll be the one running a 6.5PRC and missing...
Even the missus is coming along to stretch the legs on her .270.

I e-mailed Brian Carter to confirm our attendance but got an out of office reply - I'm sure he'll get it before Sunday.

Attended this event was a great day with a great bunch of people.
Was good to confirm drops for the ranges.
I had a weird thing happen in my last round at 600yards where my Vertical POI was 4MOA lower on the same elevation setting as the immediately previous round. Only thing changed was my rifle sat in the rifle bag for 30 minutes or so.

So I now have the source of that POI shift to track down . Back to the local range this Sunday for some testing I think.
