I had a weird thing happen in my last round at 600yards where my Vertical POI was 4MOA lower on the same elevation setting as the immediately previous round. Only thing changed was my rifle sat in the rifle bag for 30 minutes or so.

So I now have the source of that POI shift to track down . Back to the local range this Sunday for some testing I think.
If anyone wants to know what can cause a 4 moa shift in POI.
Screws attaching the front scope mount to the rifle had come so loose they had almost come out. You couldn't tell with the rear mount tight but once the rear mount was loosened the whole scope could move around.
Tested at 100m and shots were walking down the page and figured something had to have come loose.
I'm not sure how much of this event I shot with the mount that loose but amazing I was still on paper! Based on how the POI was swimming around at 100m.
I didn't have any locktite with me at the range but next time I'm out I taking the scope back off and locktiting those screws.

@Nick-D Your always welcome to come along to any of the regular saturday shoots, Nick. Theres usually someone with a hunting rifle of some description wanting to check their drops and ensure that they are on target.... especially at this time of year.
