Hi Mohawk ,I was going to suggest a CNI forum hunt and or Wanganui area (Sika /Fallow). Camp at road end maybe .
A chopper ride might be out of reach of some members due to the current economic climate.
    Spring-Summer works for me.

Hi Chris I compleletly understand your staement that some members may not be able to afford it due to the economic climate , hence why I tried to give people as much notice as possible... However Im open to CNI forum hunt , thats walk in and Wanganui sounds great. Im sure there are a few tropheys from last year lying around and it would be great to make it a annual event. Do you have a specific place in mind ?

Iv'e been to Ecology spur in 2010.
    Watch this if you like?
Ecology Spur, Kawekas hunting trip 12-19th April 2010 - YouTube.

Where we got drop off by Spence, the bush is quite hard and tight to hunt due to snow damage over the years, but a lot of top open country hunting, depends on what time of year you are going.
Oh yeah Bring in your water other wise steep walk to the water source!!!! or hope like hell it rains for you to catch it...lol
