Well another great shoot with some great people. In fact a great weekend all up considering I managed to bring home some venison as well. My partner, Gemma, shot with my squad on Sunday so she also managed to get some photos.

With 23 competitors we spilt the group in to two squads. Worked well and meant that with each squad not being too big that Malcolm and I managed to shoot as well. The squad I was RO'ing for had the harder start as we did the course in reverse. Didn't make too much difference in score as the top 4 scores for the day were split evenly between the groups.

    Some pictures:
Stag off the lucern paddock. 3 year old I think - plenty of fat on him (he has already been gutted in this photo)

    Busted!!!

Gemma about to hit a target on the edge of the trees. Swung like crazy once it was hit this one. Made hitting it again quite hard and only one person managed to hit it three times in the 30 second time limit.

BBQ after the shoot went down well. Winner picked up a box of chocolates and had to open them at the BBQ.
All in all a bloody good weekend.

I have one more 22LR field shoot in New Plymouth this coming Saturday then I can take a month or two off to compete at a couple of field shoots. Then its the Hihitahi Challenge in March and a Long Range Field Shoot in Rotorua also in March.
