Every auction there is one absolute corker like the ruger mentioned above. There always been a few spelling errors or mixed up calibres.
But you’re right, with the loss of Ted’s and Wellington AA auctions closing, most will follow suit in the next few years, the days are numbered. I hope we’re wrong though.

Canterbury Antique Arms ran a very good auction about a month ago.

It was well run and low key
The arm officers were only interested in B and C cat items.

So it can be done
I think the main limiting factor are a lack of people who get involved in clubs now.
Plenty want to show up and buy.
Or show up and complain about the world.

I sent the committee an email complimenting them on a well run event and encouraging them to continue.
One reply was that it was the first possative email in 3 years
I think thats a big part of our problems
