Cool, So where & when is prize giving, do they have a get together over a few beers ?
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!
St Andrews Domain is the weigh in and prizegiving.
Beers and BBQ on there also
Lots of fun things to do and keep the kiddies busy with races and other activities.
Raffles for more prizes as well

Damned good event this.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
I would rather 2nd prize than a tikka haha what's with that
Yep, the second prize is almost twice the price of the first one!
Went to a proper gaucho rodeo in the south of Brazil and in the main event first prize was this decorative Gaucho knife, which are highly prized by them, they wear them like a badge of honour, and second prize was a Toyota hilux. Second prize guy looked gutted on the podium hahaha
h&f look like the main sponsor that'll be why the 1st prize is what it is...... maybe they could whack a leica scope on it? ........just kidding of course guessing they are also fronting some of the minor prizes not listed and a free prize is nothing to sneeze at......even a tikka wonder if you could ask for a calibre not usually imported or would it have to be a common off the shelf calibre?
This is a great opportunity for the Big Bore Guy's! @Harryg?
Didn't even know something like this existed pretty cool. Would love to enter this but i feel like i had beginners luck when i first went out to find some wallaby and ended up getting 3, 2 big buggers and 1 average. since then no luck trying new spots but think i need to read up/learn more about better ways/tips to hunt them.
SCRSC put on another awesome event.
Just under 2400 heads and wallaby's were brought in to the comp. Largest was 19.1KG smallest was 0.7kg
The team I was in shot 296 wallaby's, 8 pigs, and lots of bunnies. (and we probably only had a 40% recovery rate??)
Weather was very cold and windy on our side. No rain which was good though. Saturday night was the best. Wind died off and there was no moon.
Wobblies popped out onto the fringes of the green feed paddocks and were easy targets. Rest of the time it was very hard going. So much feed around meant the roos weren't having to go very far for tucker, and they were sitting very tight in the scrub.

Encouraging numbers, I'm out for roos in a fortnight. How many shooters participated?

From memory there was 190 or so open/adult and 30 something juniors that entered
There's plenty of the aussies around that need sending to church
Being so much feed they don't need to go far. Under the Matagouri and scrub there is so much lush grass its incredible.
Dramatic difference to a couple of years back.
