Weekend get together to honor jakewire

Hi guys Philipo and myself are organizing a weekend get together to honor our old mate jakewire (owen)
As most of you know Owen passed away suddenly earlier this year. We think it would be really good if his friends and other forum member got together for a weekend up the valley in Kurow from Friday the 1st December for the weekend
We would all stay at the kurow camp ground (same place we held the 2018 Toby shoot please make your own arrangements with the camp ground for accommodation). what we do, will depend on the weather and numbers of those who want to attend. But we will have a good weekend.
Anyone wanting to come could you please let either Philipo or myself know so we can organize things or if you need to bring a gun or not
    Thanks for your time

Cricky how the time flys, the SI Toby get together was 2018 like wtf where has the time gone, that was a great weekend, it snowed & gadget still sleep in a tent hahahaha

Back then everyone brought a rifle or three & we had a LR shoot & trophies, how times have changed aye. Plan at the mo is for a rather layed back occasion, as Harry pointed out, sort your own accommodation at the Kurow campground, currently they're not hosting any large events that weekend ( unlike in 2018 where we competed with the jetboat guys ) so there will be the large community space to use with attached Kitchen area.

My thoughts are that we go across the road to the Pub for dinner both nights & people do their own thing for breakfast - lunch, the kitchen is there to use

Saturday's entertainment will depend on numbers & we'll hatch a plan closer to the date, could be a Wallaby hunt, station road trip or something else, will leave it open for now.

Be great to catch up with everyone & have a Jammies to honor a true GC
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Sorry guys I can't make it as will be my first day back at work after a month long South Island road trip with the caravan. Work won't allow me an extra couple of days off, was pushing my luck to get a month off as it is.
    Happy Jack.

@XR500 will your BBQ be available for the use of peasants like me? I am about to go get some provisions

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Yes of course, but you are on the wrong thread

I'll update the weather conditions on the other thread so that the guys coming down on Friday and Saturday know what to expect.
