Anyone tried running only 2 baffles on their DPT?not firing a lot of rounds, just bush hunting over a dog and looking to lighten things up as much as possible, really just looking to take the boom out of the shot,16in barrel .308.

seventenths did it with "mighty mouse" 223 if my memory serves me rightly.
IF you reduced your load a bit....it should work fine.
I've been thinking of adding a couple of baffles to mine to make it quieter, but wonder about effect on the balance. 16.5in 308, DPT mini centrefire.
Its great using two extra baffles
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
When I got mine for the 223 i was surprised how loud it was , I ended putting 2 more baffles on , think there’s 5 on now , if you want lite weight just take the suppressor off .
The Green party putting the CON in conservation since 2017
I have a few spare baffles from my mini 30 in the steal back, kept baffles..
He's looking at less baffles, not more
Identify your target beyond all doubt
Yep ive run just 2 baffles on my 15" barreled 7mm08 M7.
Only fire one or two shots if im lucky. Works just fine.
Looks nice and compact with only couple of baffles that’s for sure, gonna try and shoot it this weekend and see what a diff It makes, also if the poi changes.
I run just two "Modules" on my A-Tec on the 7mm08.
Noticeably louder, specially when I remove all the removable baffles.
Suits me well for a compromise between too long and quiet enough.
I tested POI and it didn't change with baffle count.
Yeah i run 1 baffle then the end cap on my 7mm08 17" barrel. Loud, i dont hunt over a dog but still effectively doesnt disturb surrounding areas
