    4 person lightweight tents?

    What’s the go to ?

    I’ve been a fly and ground sheet fan but kids are getting older and wife wants to do some bigger trips with the kids.

    Given I’ll have to carry the tent I’m keen for a light one.

    Msr? What else?

    kids each have wee dome tent,you and Mum get to cuddle in your own one...win win all around. the kids can carry a wee dome tent and get to learn about life,putting it up,looking after it,remembering all the pegs etc....
    also helps if someone packs a paddy...they can bugger off to own space even if its persisting down with rain.

    @mickey duck

    Tried another option with what I had.
    Wife and kids in tent and I get peaceful sleep in the hammock. I’ll take this option. Bloody golden.

    Got to be much easier to find a spot to pitch 2 smaller ones rather then one big boy

    Because this is what I had.
    And probably failed to mention kids are both under 8 so it works.

    I’ll certainly be going to two small tents as they get older
