ACR Bivy Stick - what are they like?

Hi all , just wondering if anyone is using an ACR bivy stick?
What are they like?
How do they compare to Inreach Mini?
What is cost of subscription?
General pros and cons?

I only had a very quick look a few months back, but it looks like they require connection to a phone to be able to send messages (InReach doesn't, though it does make it easier).

Subscription costs were WAY higher than my InReach, but that may have changed.
EDIT: looks like subscription cost is very similar to InReach now

They are listed in Hunt Fish catalogue $629.99. plus looks like ongoing data plan
