Thread: Aj's game caller

I use an aj productions game caller for red deer sometimes. I use it with the amplifier. But they seem 2 have kinda dodgy plugs into the caller unit and make crackles and shit at the worst of times. Anyone else have trouble with this? My mates one is the same. We were thinking about hard wiring the cord in. anyone done this before?

check where the problem is; caller, cable or amp unit. try plugging in (say) your ph or i-pod to the amp unit. No noises? then its the caller end. Suspect cheap contact assembly for the socket. If you do decide to haRD WIRE, USE QUALITY oops cable - stuff that won't go brittle in cold. Good luck!

Mate that's an easy fix wrap them both in insulation tape, round and round both amp and hand unit works a treat, I never undo the plugs anyhow and cuts out that horrible noise when the big boys are coming in

Thats what iv been doing haha but tape stretches and moves.. Guess I could just put an overkill amount on. Never use it without the amp anyway

how long do the amp batteries last? I'm looking at getting the amp

Ages. Tell ya when they go flat lol. Amp makes a huuge difference too well worth it
