Thread: Anyone a gas mask guru?

After someone who knows a bit about various types of mil styled gas masks, even better if anyone knows if there are still the pork chop filters available for the m17, or something that would fill the void left behind where one was? I’ve recently inherited a few toys!

Lol, no, not yet! But have a a mask or two that would probably come in handy for that day! Was actually thinking of when I burn off lead with all the flashing material for casting? Plus to be honest thought if I could fix one or two up would make an interesting bookend??

For lead fluxing a modern cartridge mask with particulate filters would be way more practical and comfortable but I like the bookend idea.

Yeah trust me ive done enough time wearing these older styled ones for "training" running up and down 14 story building on training days, but would be nice to get this one tidied up for something in the man cave, i am going to use one of the more modern ones for burn offs, ill take them into a Safety shop and see if the can supply the cartridge that thread on these other two
