    Anyone have any idea what this is?

    Assuming something to do with automotive, but no label on it unfortunately. Received with a pile of welding gear I got given but never seen one in welding before?

    Looks like the old anti zap we used to use back in the day.... Supposed to prevent cooking the computer.....I wouldn't rely on them for the new cars

    2 red clamps, I'd guess what we used to use with jumper cables to protect the computer in cars when that was a new thing.

    anti spike unit, contains capacitor/an/or voltage dependent resistor.
    used when jumpstarting

    It's two new clamps for your spotlight and a black box to go in rubbish.

    Yep, exactry my thoughts too!

    Given no obvious branding or specs I'm not going to trust the thing if it is a zap protector. I've just never seen one with the window arrangement in the end of it, unusual...

    Anti zap thing use when welding or I use them on a normal set of jumper leads as well

    the window is just the epoxy resin so it cant be taken apart. same stuff gets used on underground junctions etc.

    It looks like it has an LED of some sort under it - I might hook it up to a 12v battery and see what happens...

    Some of them have a light that comes on if its hooked up the right way and is doing its thing
