    Anyone used these guys?

I’m interested in seeing if anyone has used these guys before? Curious to hear about positives or negatives
Thought I’d ask before handing over any cash

    Cheers

Yep, you’re right. I see my mistake now… difference between NZ and US $

NZ based Gearshop are good to deal with.
Local to me so I get a bit of tramping gear through them. It still pays to shop around on price, though these guys have beaten advertised prices at times, when pestered on it.

I've ordered a few bits from the NZ store. One order went pretty wrong and it took a lot of emails and sending parcels back and forth to get it sorted. On the plus side, they did sort it.

I've bought a few things, pretty good deals and quick service.

Yep Hamish started out just getting caving gear for himself, got smacked on the wrist by Petzl then went straight and has been pretty good since. He was also winch man on the rescue chopper in Nelson for a while.

As for price comparison, here's a knife of theirs compared to our old fav spotted at Feildays recently:

Although they are similar they’re not identical.
The mora has a belt loop sheath not a clip which is useful for hunting. Is it worth $25 more than the bahco- probably not.

Over at the old forum there was an unofficial contest to get the Bahco ownership up some incredible number. I think it was achieved quite quickly.
    I succumbed. Useful knife.
When the Mora is mentioned I have an original Frosts Mora which is nothing like the above examples.

OK, sounds like a $1 improvement on the plastic sheath. The knives appear identical. I have a variety of variations and they're all basically the same knife.

Yep very true haha. Sometimes the fishing shops have a version for 6-8 bucks, often it last better as my dive knife than the bahco one
