I agree, the task of re soldering or replacing a LED with wire "legs / connections" is simple.
The Creelights however, although an LED, are mounted quite differently.

Note that it is at the bottom of a cavity within that unit which is a sealed one with no means of disassembly apart from destruction. Even if it were to be able to be disassembled, the chances of just holding the two PCB's together and applying heat (where would one apply heat?) would not be a precise enough method to avoid solder flow across all 3 contact point, effectively shorting out the whole caboodle. IMHO.
