The new Swazi tahr ultralite must be days away from release
I have had the Stowit, Halo & Stowit pro. I like the Stowit Pro best. I didn’t like the halo as it is quite a narrow fit and I am not a big guy.
Swazi Rifleman. Can't fault it. Lightweight. Compact. Quality NZ Made. Use it bush hunting, will soak through after a couple of hours in wet bush as will any lightweight jacket. Goes in the pack for bush and tops work. Ideal.
"Death - our community's number one killer"
I used to have a stowit.i now use surplus swiss army rain jacket from army and outdoors. Only $20 each and are actually pretty good jackets. I have several of them stashed in packs, vehicles etc

if light is the number one priority.
So I went to look at the Swazi ultralight jackets they have very good specs but they’re really flimsy, anybody have any feedback
Find a nylon bumfreezer with a hood. Will fit in a coffee cup, weighs nothing but will kill the wind and keep off majority of rain. Good to keep blood off if carting animal too.got mine bloody the other day.rinsed it off and was dry again next morning.
75/15/10 black powder matters
The old version was prone to ripping and tearing etc.... The new ones were meant to be designed to prevent that.....
I see you are from Levin so assume you went direct to Swazi & checked out the new version & not old stock from a retailer?
Maybe you would be better off with the standard Tahr, they are heavier but tough as.
Can get 20% off if you are an NZDA member
