Grabbed a couple of their packs when I was in the US. The warranty is fantastic, which is fortunate as one of the packs didn't last a week before a strap fell off. That same pack also had it's waterproof zip give up the ghost not long after. By that time I was back in NZ, and sending the pack back to the US for repair would cost more than I paid for it.
The little reactor day pack is a different story altogether. It's seen a lot of use when out looking for deer, and most nights to carry the battery for my rabbit / possum shooting light. So far it's standing up very well to the abuse, and I wouldn't hesitate to grab another.

That's a pity you had a bad experience, they actually encourage you to throw them under a car while your mate rarks over it and if damaged they will still fix or replace it. They even say if you buy it second hand in a garage sale and you have any trouble with it they will fix it. They are bloody light too which is a bonus.
