That BK16 is a nice shaped blade, is it d2 or 1095. pretty good reliable steel, easy to sharpen. Have a look also at Topsknives if you particulary like 1095 steel.

Beckers are mostly 1095. But I see that the BK24 is D2. Good value middle of the road sort of knives. You can bring them in from the US for peanuts.

Middle of the road , NOT in my world they ( BK ) , I think they are as expensive as you want or should go , at close to or more than a hundred for say the 7,9 & 16 .
To me a knife should be a simple bit of kit compared to say a firearm , so when I see prices of close to 400 USD , thats just insane , as at that price point you can get a nice firearm in the USA .

If you want expensive look at buying a knife made from VG-10 steel or S30V.. But you get what you pay for. Nothing wrong with BK knives mate, D2 and 1095 is more than enough steel quality.

Becker knives, which I think may be now owned by kabar, are strong knives but do not use high end materials which help keep the price down, the bk24 uses D2 steel, which is a very interesting steel not quite carbon, not quite stainless, it will rust in NZ unless oiled or waxed, it is also a collaboration between ESEE and Becker, with the izula handle and a bk blade, if you like it consider an izula s the have an amazing warranty-break it the replace it- no matter what.

However the bk24 is not very useful as a main blade, too small, if you want a blade that small I would suggest a Svord edc hiker model for a lot less and similar but nz made.

But before I can really help I would need to know what you want it for and what uses it will perform...
