    Beginner Rangefinder

    Hello,
just new here, but am looking to get a range finder for bowhunting,
seen lots on here about the Sndway ones,
has anyone used this for bowhunting? just wondering if it is easy enough to see the TBR when up close to animals and time is of the essence.
any help greatly appreciated or suggestions of other ones avaible, happy to buy second hand and dont need huge distance as i only shoot with the bow
    cheers
    jake

SNDWay rangefinders do not have TBR, but they do give angles if that's useful. If you don't need TBR, I would recommend SNDWay as good value for money.

    ok thanks for that,
i do need TBR as ranges can vary a lot and the margin for error with a bow is a little unforgiving,
any other recommendations for a budget friendly rangefinder with angle compensation/TBR?

Mine shows distance, angle and horizontal distance. My understanding is horizontal distance is pretty much the same as TBR.

The horizontal distance is on a smaller font, and everything is black LCD so it can be a bit hard to see sometimes.

I have a Bushnell arc it has rifle and bow settings and gives TBR the downside is it is a bit dark and nearly impossible to see at last light. Also has black display which is very hard to read at last light.

Thanks. Didn't know that. I kind of just ignored the smaller numbers

Any more comments from anyone on horizontal distance vs TBR?

Had a Sndway for couple years now, no issues at all great value for money and yes the smaller number is the calculated angle compensated range, which i always use, have shot Tahr out to 500 in some steep country and its always bang on.

For value for money (and no questions asked lifetime warranty) you can't go past the vortex crossfire rangefinder. Bought mine off the skippersmate website and it's great. I've ranged deer to 900m. Feels solid. Can't fault it.
