Radix by a mile, honestly so good. I no longer buy backcountry meals. The only product of theirs I buy is the smoothies.

I've been using Uncle Bens rice and tuna packets. A bit heavier than freeze dried, but needs way less water to cook.
Absolute Wilderness. Bacon mash is brilliant!
gave up on them all as they are always full of damned veges
Army ration packs, everything you could want a 24 hour one usually does me 2 days.
Yea I've given up on them I now just vac Pac my own wet meals then drop them into boiling water to heat.
Then use the water for a brew.
They are way heavier but awesome.

I had 're lamb rissoto. Wasn't like a home made meal but tastes sweet and realistically at the weight it was great. It saying that I jut take the Watties Pastas in the foil. Just heat them with water. Saves me using all my water in the meal. Usually use the boiling water at dinner to make a Tea. And if it's cold the left overs go in the drink bottom in a sock and I use it as a hot water bottle.
Absolute wilderness is exponentially better than the back country stuff. Actually enjoyable to sit down and tuck into at the end of the day. The Tom kha ghe is my favourite but the chilli con carne and butter chicken are pretty bloody good too
I just do Kaweka meals now, bit of extra dehy spud or rice and you got a pretty decent meal, and for what its worth if im only going a couple days a proper meal is well wirth the weight, I like to take a proper tikka masala, saag, or butter chicken bought from the indian restaurant and vac packed, medium-hot because you cant beat a bit of heat when youre on the hill.
