K2Hunter...heavy and solid,will out last me and still be going strong..find one,try it and see for yourself. the extra weight is what it is....can carry stupidly heavy load without fear of pack crapping out.
Very early Macpac Cascade. 80 L I think. Been patched a couple of times, replaced harness once, will outlast me now.

I have this for rock saltwater fishing, very light and very cheap.
Hard to beat. Light, flexible and rugged. Good selection of bags to add to it. Includes meat sling. In USD but not that expensive when converted to NZD. They will send to NZ.

Depends how tall you are the tatonkas won't shrink to be comfortable for me at 5'6' so I have a Spika Drover which feels bulletproof and built like the old Macpacs (not the new ones). Its not the lightest pack by a long shot but I rate it with its load shelf design
