    Betacraft Mamaku jacket

Hi, I've been looking at a jacket to knock about in scrub around here this winter. The Mamaku looks to be close to what I need and they are on sale at reduced price at the moment. So has anyone used one and have an opinion of how they wear and retain water resistance.

Exactly. The Beatsons. Nice people. I went to QEC with the "Beatson twins" (they will be well into their 70's now). The Brethren have been very good for the Pahiatua economy (a sweet factory too).

I worked beside a fella whose surname was Beatson. Seemed to be a nice guy, I think he joined the police force in Rotorua.

Thanks. Each to his own I suppose. I've ordered a jacket anyway.

I don't care who they are.... or aren't, but wow.... you just have to love their prices

Very refreshing amongst the other major outdoors & hunting clothing manufacturers

@NIMROD this is my current one. It's a soft shell, and waterproof. Very easy to wear and wind proof. I live in it in the trees. And as you say cheap as chips.
