    Big Rap for Macpac

Last year I was in Fiordland for the Bugle. Half way thru the trip my Macpac sleeping bag zip kept opening. So instead of freezing to death I cut my zip sliders off my Macpac down jacket and bodgied it up and it worked fine for the remainder of the trip.
Back in Oz I took the bag and jacket to the Macpac store in Brisbane where I dealt with Tim. Tim is a legend, he sent both items to Melbourne for repair, the bag got a new zip but the jacket repair would be expensive so he shouted me a new down jacket instead.
So Macpac have stood by their product which is why I have bought a lot of Macpac gear over the years because of the quality and the belief they would guarantee their stuff.
So a big thumbs up to Macpac and to the service that Tim from Fortitude Valley Macpac provided.

    Cheers

They wont sponser a hunting forum I would bet, they avoided it previously and market towards travellers and trampers still.

Wierd considering most NZ hunters would own a macpac pack at least

    +1

2x Macpac 75L packs, 1x daypack 22L, Fast & Light Express 600 STD sleeping bag, 1x Nautilus tent, 1x Olympus tent, Macpac Nomad jacket, 6s Sabre Softshell, merino thermals and have been looking at getting one of their Hollyford jackets.

Quality gear and bloody good service (at least in my local Macpac store).

It does sound unusual they won't support a hunting forum hopefully they will step up

I spent about 3k at macpac in the last 2 years.

Super gutted with everything but the sleeping bag I got for a mate, which has been used for 3 nights. Just getting rid of the last of my stuff now, I don't know wether to keep the resolution jacket and try it again or sell it, but i have worn it in all types of rain, up, down, light, heavy, mist, and never once have remained dry, its f@#@ing terrible, horrible, you get the idea.

Their service is great, but I think the product is crap quite honestly, and I don't know anyone personally who rates any of their new product. The old stuff was no doubt great, but yeah, so was the 70s.

Above was supposed to be a reply/ quote from your post #14 R93 but it doesn't seem to want to work properly
