    Binoculars for bush

Eyes are getting worse and worse...need some bush binocs...6x30 or 8x30 yosemites probably.
I know 6x30s will be best in bush but the 8x30s more versatile. I have a couple of sets of really decent 10 power binocs.
    Opinions and experiences?

I use 8x25 compacts when in the bush. Light and small and lets you see "through" the bush.

No, but there would be nothing wrong with 6x. Clarity is more important than magnification in the bush. I have 8x25 because there seems to be a bigger choice in that range than the lower magnification. FOV in the 8x25s is still good too.

When you say bush how far can you see? Every place i have been has 20-30m max clear sight and usually less so never considered binos

Have a play with your scope and work out what's going to be best

I have a pair of 6x30 yosemites and they are really nice little binos. I've found them good in bush and the mag is fine. As has been said you can see through the bush. I'd recommend 6x with the Yosemite because it gives a bigger exit pupil and wider field of view allowing them to "punch above their weight" optically speaking

Not very good actually (from what I have been hearing/reading)
Much better to pay extra and step up to the low end Thermal Pulsar XQ30V Lite
The Leopold is OK for tracking wounded (blood) but thats about it.
A lot of guys using the Thermal on Japs now - just hope they identify 110% before they take the shot.

    It doesn't have to be.
As long as the hunter is not using Thermal Scope in bush - the Thermal handheld will locate - then normal scope for ID.
But a man crouched down roaring or the likes - to a trigger happy type could pose a potential disaster.
There will be an accident with this Thermal imaging gear one day – that I am sure about.

However – there is a flip side to it – and it could also (one will never know) prevent an accidental shooting. By seeing someone at distance – when you could be the potential target – so then you avoid getting into that risk position etc
She’s amazing gear though – out the other morning (5am) – could see Deer 300-400m in light scrub/regrowth and when hit with the light – could not see an eyeball shinning back at all.
