    I use 8x25 compacts when in the bush. Light and small and lets you see "through" the bush.

    No, but there would be nothing wrong with 6x. Clarity is more important than magnification in the bush. I have 8x25 because there seems to be a bigger choice in that range than the lower magnification. FOV in the 8x25s is still good too.
