+1 for paracord, just because it's what I had on hand at the time, has lasted years in one pair of boots. any that I find looking suspect get replaced early now.

Brought from the army surplus kiwis disposals website

Go to mitre 10 and get venetian blind cord. Specially good for boots with small eyelets.

But you could use the type with a strip of reflective stuff in it so you can find your boots in the dark...

Kevlar laces will go close to outlasting the boots.
Bought a set overseas and highly recommend them.
    Around $10 CAD from memory.

I think that nylon rope is paracord. The roll I bought from aliexpress has a woven cover over strands of nylon and I burn the ends just like the stuff from blinds. It's slightly thicker than the blind stuff but easier on the hands. If anyone else wants some pm how much and address and I'll send some. I have limited stock so first in.

just an aside re paracord . It's normally 7 strand but can also get 5 strand easy enough which is a little narrower in diameter if you have smaller eyelets that the seven strand won't go through .
just a bit of useless info there......
very handy stuff and I have a length in my emergency pouch for .... well ....emergencies , such as broken laces ironically... or hanging an animal etc....

Thanks for that. I doubt the stuff I have should be used for parachuting, and i carry the cord from window louvre’s it’s amazingly strong, I hung a deer in a tree with just two lengths.
