Personally I'd stay well away from anything Lowa. They are comfortable and functional but a real lottery on quality control and have the worst after sales service of any company I've ever come across, you will come away feeling like a criminal if you ever try make a warranty claim with them and they will blatantly accuse you of
"not wearing them enough"
"Used another companies boot care products"
"Didn't follow manufacturers recommended break in procedure"
Etc etc and any other excuse that can come up with to avoid honoring a warranty. I've had Rangers and Tibets and they've both come apart after very minimal use, I have family who have had the same experience, followed up by the same warranty claim experience.
I now have become a real fan of the La Sportiva Trango TRK boots, I've bought two pairs but still working on trying to wreck the first pair, they're super lightweight which makes a huge difference on the hill but still provide all the support of a heavier boot.
Believe it or not I've also been running a pair of Grisport Kaweka's on the farm for a while now and very impressed with them for the money, I'd be happy with them as a do it all hunting boot if I wasn't so smitten with the La Sportivas and you can pick them up for $300
