    boots

Any one recommend boots for a 15 year old. Just a good all round boot.
    Good ankle support a must
plan on getting him down south island for a tahr hunt rest of the time north island
Not a big fan of grisport boots that leak
His feet are still growing and he can buy a pair of lowas or crispi boots when he gets a job
looked at some hunters element boots that might fit the budget
    $300 budget

I had a rubbish experience with Lowa, satisfactory experience with Keen boots and now wear Salewa. When the lad ends up with some $$ I’d strongly recommend Salewa tho go half size bigger.

@Shearer as you know ever boot manufacturer is different
At the moment he fits a old pair of lowas i brought for myself (material type ) and that's a uk9 43.5 that's getting to small.
Lowas seem to be a size smaller then others?

Ok. Bigger than anything I can offer sorry.
PS. I find euro sizing the most consistent between different brands.

Keep a real close eye on trade me. It’s a great place to get boots either next to new because somebody bought the wrong size, or getting on but with a bit of life left. I’ve got two boys that grew like mushrooms when they were young and it can be painful having them grow out of everything flat out, they are twins too so no hand me downs, just two of everything.

I’m normally a 10, bought 10.5 and wear thinner (quality) socks. Could possibly have gone 11 for heavy gumboot sock type.

Look for a pair of Salomon Quest mid boots. Often on sale and good light hunting boots. Good option while there feet are growing.

Would a pair of Anatom V2 Sulivien size EU46 be of any use ? Sounds like he'll be growing into them soon anyway.
