    Boots for the Buller fans

Mate just grabbed a pair of these from our local hardwear store for $140

Men's Mossy Oak EAGLE CAP Hiker - 71075 - Waterproof Boots & Shoes for Men, Women & Kids - Bogs

They would be a good alternative to Ashley/Bullers as they have some good features that set them apart. Comfort being the main one

yeah they always split down the sides. Mind you if I did the laces up probably this might not happen. There're also not that soft on your heels, and your feet sweat in them.

For hunting, drill 2 holes with a hot wire in the instep/sole of the bullers. Pumps air in and out and keeps feet cool. Also pumps water out when exiting a stream.

Even wife has worn Bullers in the bush for last 30 years.

No Gibo,... Buller, Swannie Everest, Mountain Mule, Leupold and Sako have stuck by me and all helped to keep me alive, well, comfortable and to make a good living doing what I loved all these years. They are all part of what I am now.

And like a good friend I will not desert them.

Yeah I'm keen to give them a go at least. I can't really afford a good leather pair and cheap leather pairs I wear out pretty quick.

If I were you Phillip, I would try and get a look at the boots in the link I posted. They are in the same ballpark pricewise as Bullers, but have a lot of plus points.

Ashleys are to high and to heavy for a lot of people. The high tops can saw a track around the leg that makes them unwearable for some.

Most people can put on a pair of bullers and head of into the hills no breaking in or anything even woman. Hence my Wife has always worn them for this reason
