Thread: Broken rino 650

My recent trip to Fiordland was hard on gear , broken rifle , scope ,and my rino screen ( just the outer, led still fine ) and a foo foo valve
. I can get a referb from garmen $138 NZ or I'm told that it's possible to get the outer screen ,out off Hong Kong ? For around $30 . Is anyone in the know ? , has anyone done this ? Cheers munsey

This is what you want i think. I was thinking about it and while the lcd isnt broken the actual touch screen (digitizer) is cause you can't touch anything...

Munsey you can get a clear duct tape these days. just has the canvas meshing through it but should be sweet as

@GiboI would if I could . Touch screen is useless if cracked . Lights are on but nobody's home . @Brian have spoken to him and yes he is awesome to deal with , but he will not be able to get the screen any cheaper than eBay plus fitting $ 50 ( more than reasonable) .
A factory refeb with guarantee will be close too that . I may look at doing it myself . Will google it someone's got to have tutorial on line ?

this will give you an idea of what youre in for, the tricky part is removing the digitizer that is glued to the lcd as you can easily damage the lcd. i have done it on the old iphones.

I did the out of warranty replacement through Garmin, Easy as, got a referb 62s for $126nz
