Thread: Bushcraft/ Fieldcraft knife reccomendation

Well I have just made two Ray Mear type clones, just for the hell of it, both made from 4mm O1 tool steel, heat treated and triple tempered, to roughly RC 58-59, one has a tapered tang and I am just in the process of putting on the yew handles, it has a true Scandi grind and a 90 degree spine, will come with a kydex sheath with a firesteel loop.

The other has a non tapered tang and more of a saber grind, micarta handles with a kydex sheath with a firesteel loop.

Both are roughly 220 mm long, half blade half handle.
