+1 except I'm trying to carry less gear around not more

Undoubtedly they will be good bits of kit.......however, imo its a pity they aren't around 10 litres larger. Summink ~60 litres is about ideal for a day pack, and a 'few days on the hill' size, in my experience. Just covers off the likley eventualities, I figure.
60l for a day pack! fuck me!
Am enjoying mine. I find it more comfortable with a load in then the miklat
Loaded up with a yearling red yesterday

My 60l sticks up behind my head to much to go running round in the bush with. Be fine out in the open though I guess
In the market for a 1 or 2 night at most pack and this is on the short list however as I live in the Auckland region there are none available in shops to have a fondle. Very keen also on pros and cons for this pack.
Other short list candidates are Twinneedles Molleme (on the small side I think) and the Badlands Sacrifice pack. I tend to be more of a bush hobbit than a tops man.
A nice short-list, can't help though sorry, I'm using a cactus product (green canvas sack wih a roll top shoulder straps and waist belt) not he, Oct comfortable but nothing to get caught on in supplejack and bushranger. Biggest problem is what you need is at the bottom so lots of bags and organising
Will check out the one planet cheers. That's another hesitation with the huntaway as it's basically one compartment you always have to go pack diving to find stuff. Access to the bottom of the pack with a front zip would be nice.
Just requires a bit of planning I guess. I like one main compartment and one zipped pocket on top or the front.
One compartment is the only way to go for weight, durability and best weatherproofness.
I hate day/overnight packs that have a narrower opening than the width of the base or lower part of the bag. They are a bugger to get meat into, and out of. Especially if its boned meat in a pillow case or such like. The One planet traverse looks like that. So are a lot of Mac-Packs.
The Huntaway looks good. Have you bought one gimp?
