    Cactus pack

Hi guys am looking buying a cactus hunterway pack, has anyone got any cons about this pack? As im sure they are great but it is a lot of money to throw at a day/overnight pack. Cheers

About the only con is they are a bit scratchy when pushing through bush/scrub. Otherwise they are a brilliant pack. Carry well for a soft frame pack and absolutely bullet proof. Love mine, I use it for pretty much everything

Met a guy who just used a old fleece t shirt with holes cut in it for the sholder straps. Seemed to work well

No cons man. A tad small for me but robust and really well made. Buy NZ made.

I'll go against the norm and add one con. We'll not nessarily with the pack but with the use with their scabbard. The scabbard is useless when you empty the pack. It's flops around a bunch as the attachments go loose. It's easily solved with a down jacket filling space. Not a killer on a few trips we put on all the gear In our bag because it was freezing it ended up being a pain. Apart from that a great pack.

I'd say you could fix it if you just permanently attached the scabbard with stitching.
