I would add......It would pay to destroy the pan in case someone ( relatives or kids ) see it when its thrown out and decides to use it..
Nope, standard procedure is always leave a layer of melted lead hardened in bottom of pan. You will always know what its been used for and so will anyone else after you've shuffled off.
It won't adhere necessarily but it will be a clear "fit"
