Cheap Down Bags - are they lying?

    https://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/cam...3239250476.htm

Thinking about a new bag to replace my 20yr old down on the top model and these come up. I’m not going to buy one but it seems impossible for the price. Higher loft down is super expensive.

Any one had a go to see if they last more than one trip?

I’m looking at a Halo as my first pick for now

    Thanks

I grabbed one direct from Aliexpress, but got a warmer bag with 1000grm fill. I got for the kids as want warmth and the rest doesn’t really matter.

The bag Is fine, and I paid $150 landed and couldn’t get close to that here.

Below are the specs off Aliexpress and the reviews are all generally positive. Takes about a month to get here.

Recently got a Halo and then got one of these:

Seems built better and despite the comfort rating being -7 versus the Halo at -10 it is definately a much warmer bag than the Halo and lofts up heaps more, weighs a tiny bit more but not noticeable at all (150grams) and packs down about the same. Really happy with it

Yes - but price in Ukraine was higher than Special in Taupo
    Go figure :-(

I would say the down is dubious at that price. 700g of 800fp goose would be about the retail price alone.

Yeah that’s why I posed the question but here is another one with 800fp water resistant down. Same as Naturehike brand which also have good reviews. Anyone tried one of these

I grabbed an Aegismax Nano 2 L bag from Aliex a couple years back, for a lighter/smaller 3-season/hut bag. Honestly, the way it lofts up, I wouldn’t be surprised if the rating is pretty accurate.

This is my new top pick. Anyone use one? Good reviews and similar specs to the Halo but much better price….

I wouldn't say similar, domex halo comfort rating is -4 degrees the bushbuck caldus comfort rating is 4 degrees that may not sound like much but it is.
I'm not knocking the caldus I'm just saying it's not on par, the weight is where the similarities end.
