    Cheap tide me over boots

My boots fell apart last weekend, after about 3 years of hard slog. The plan was to look at replacing them with something like a crispi nevada mid next year, but I'm not spending that sort of cash right now.

Folks got any recommendations around the $250 range? Or should I just suck it up and use my big old blundie steelcaps from work for a while?

I would consider trainers or trail runners or approach shoes in the mean time. Lightweight and more affordable. Some good deals around at the moment.

I run a pair of Grisport hikers from time to time when I don't want to wear my stiffer Salewa Rapace boots.

The Grisports are around a $100 at H&F and are actually very comfortable and good value.

Salamon quest gortex mid cut from Anaconda if in NZ.

You’ll find you’ll use them for a long time. Often under 200 on sale.
