Considering a new Stihl chansaw

I used a Stihl 027 when I worked in a saw mill, when the mill closed I went to the auction and bought the saw. I have had that saw for 25 years and it has never missed a beat. It has cut wood for both mine and my parents fires since I have owned it, cut down trees twice the size of it bar, and yes I smile every time I use it. My brother has a solo for almost as long and that also a good saw. My two cents worth is if you have the money buy a Stihl if you want to go cheap buy a solo. ( I have a tiny Ozito that need lots of love and attention but is a very good one hand pruning saw when it goes).

Those 2 in 1s are great, I use them, saves some time on sharpening esp handy if your felling for $$$$$

Ahs anyone heard of Yukon Chainsaws? I realise they will be chinese and parts will be near impossible, but atthe price they are on trade me, I would only have to get three or four dasy use and it would be cheaper than renting one.

52cc with a 20 inch bar $150

And they come with a hard case for that price.

I'm probably going to be looking for one as well bought a McCulloch but you can't get parts for the fukn thing

If its a McCulloch, try Husqvarna. Apparently Husky bought them out,. They may not be available from Husky rep stores, but they should know who to see.

Shock Horror Distress... Mrs just got back from Germany on Monday. My instructions whilst there were to buy me some bits for my old Stihl 023 including a new carb. Genuine parts are too expensive here to make a do-up worth it. She phoned Stihl in Germany and was told that all the 'genuine' parts are made in China. So the cheap carbs on ebay and Alibaba are it, no German made parts or saws... So if you are buying a Stihl you are getting a Chinese saw anyway it would seem.

Their pro series saws are still made in Germany.
