You use hexi by choice? You really are loosing your marbles.

Taking petrol bomb cookers inside a hut is asking for trouble. About the same risk factor as leaving loaded, cocked without safety on rifles lying around IMO.
Most huts have only one entry/exit and if you are on the wrong side of the cooker when it blows...then, well, you know.
There are burnt out huts all over the country side that testify why they should only be used outside.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

I must have lost my marbles over 40 years ago as I have always carried a hexi cooker in my gear...a hell of a lot less to carry than gas, I don't mind having a hot coffee on a miserable day while others suck cold creek water.

Eion I am very much a "if it is not broken don't fix it" sort of a guy. I have been using them for 40+ years with out a hiccup so why would I change.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

For me basic training was enough. Maybe the ones you use are good but I'll take my gas any day.
